Johannes Thomas is Managing Director at trivago, a leading global hotel metasearch. He joined the company in 2011 to build up the Performance Marketing Department and is now steering the path of the newly founded Advertiser Relations unit. He and his team are reinventing the way trivago connects advertisers to its millions of travelers worldwide. Johannes also heads up the Business Operations and Strategy Department, which is responsible for running strategic projects within trivago.
Having discovered his passion for the industry at an early age, Johannes’s over ten years of experience in travel and hospitality includes working at his family’s hotel, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and isango. He went on to found his own start-up, which operated travel sites in Germany, Italy, and Spain.
