Something to build on

Stand Assembly

This is where we have compiled the most important dates, details and contacts for the smooth assembly and disassembly of your ITB Berlin trade show stand.

ATTENTION: All relevant times and pdf-downloads for ITB Berlin 2020 you can find here from February 2020!

The set-up phase runs from 26 February until 3 March, 7am-10pm daily. On 3 March, 7am-10am. On the last assembly day, 3 March, we additionally request that you/your stand builder remove all construction materials and waste from the hall aisles by 3pm. The aisles will then be cleaned up and carpeting will be laid down.

The dismantling phase begins at 6pm on 8 March and then runs daily, 7am-10pm, until 12 March. In the interests of our visitors, we would like to once again point out that disassembly is not allowed to begin before 6pm on 8 March. Violations of this rule (#5, stand personnel) will result in a fine being levied upon the exhibitor. Furthermore, we reserve the right to exclude any company which violates this rule from being an exhibitor the following year.

During the set-up and dismantling phases, properly filled-out passes must be worn so that they are easily visible at all times. If you require additional passes, you may order them for free via our web shop BECO or please contact the Exhibitor Service Center at “Großer Stern” at +49 (0)30 3038-4127.

Construction inspection will be carried out on 3 March 2020 by the technical department. Please note that all construction work on stands should be completed by this date.

  • Construction until 10.00 hrs
  • Decoration until 22.00 hrs

Independent of the general supervision provided, we recommend that you arrange security for your stand to ensure that it are protected as the hall supervision service does not accept liability for any claims. In this context, please note that valuable objects should be protected, particularly during the setting up and dismantling phases.

Stand security services can be ordered at the BECO webshop. In accordance with Item 2.5 “Surveillance” of our Technical Guidelines stand guards may only be provided by the security company contracted by Messe Berlin.

The hall inspectors are happy to answer your questions. The telephone numbers for the corresponding halls can be found in the Hall Inspector Map (PDF, 613.6 kB).

According to the Terms and Conditions, the minimum equipment of the stand are floor covering as well as partition walls to your neighboring stands and rear wall. The floor covering must be laid in such a way that accidents are prevented. They may not exceed beyond the boundaries of the stand. The partition walls of a stand above +2.50m, directly bordering an adjacent stand, must have a neutral, smooth white finish, which is structurally stable, has no visible gaps and bears no advertising message of any kind whatsoever. Therefore please see point 4.7.4 and 4.7.6 of our Technical Guidelines.

Please also make sure to comply with our additional technical guidelines (PDF, 40.4 kB) when designing and constructing your stand.

For two-storey stands the fee for the upper-story is generally 50.00 EURO per sqm plus the AUMA fee of 0.60 EURO per sqm, so long as the complete stand construction documents are submitted on time until 15 of January. If the documents are received after 15 January 2020, the upper-storey fee is 160.00 EURO per sqm plus the AUMA fee of 0.60 EURO per sqm.
